Before coming here to study at the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, I had some concerns. I have never studied abroad ever in my life, and I kept asking these questions: what would it be like studying at a university in Taiwan? How is living there like? I do not even speak Mandarin. I felt like the stuff I found on the internet were not entirely sufficient. But worry not, I feel like it was a waste of time for me to worry about all these things by the time I got here at STUST. The studying here is enjoyable; all the professors for the international programs are fluent in English, and they are willing to help you when you are having troubles with your study. The school also provides a teacher assistant for every course. There might be a little trouble with the language barrier outside the school area, however, the school arranges Taiwanese students as student buddies to help us with everyday activities. All the things mentioned above are from my personal experiences. I have no remorse about my decision studying here. It was the correct decision for my study career.
